Linux Administrator

Are you experienced in Linux deployment, management, development, and various tools, including Ansible, Zabbix, ELK Stack, NetBox and more?

Then come join our Infrastructure team and immerse yourself in the world of Linux and associated tools and get the opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge.

Your responsibilities

You will ensure that BAUHAUS Nordic's Linux solutions are running smoothly with minimal downtime. You will help design, create, automate, monitor, and implement new solutions for BAUHAUS and take care of the day-to-day management of servers and clients and making sure that all systems are always up to date. This will be done together with the rest of the Infrastructure Team. You will also be the go-to person for 2nd and 3rd level support from our Service Desk team. Your tasks include:

  • Manage and administrate current Linux servers and clients
  • Expand on our current Ansible and Zabbix solution
  • Implement new tools and features into our digital tools and channels
  • Help and support the Service Desk team with solutions, troubleshooting, training, and procedures
  • Help manage day-to-day Linux maintenance through automation and optimization
  • Design, create, and implement Linux solutions for new and old systems
  • Assist on new Linux software solutions

What will your typical day look like?

You will start with going through the new tickets in the queue and then discuss and assign them with the rest of the infrastructure team in our morning meeting. Your typical tasks will be incidents from monitoring, requests from users / Service Desk or other forms of day-to-day operations for 2nd level. Projects and development will also play a major role in your day. These may include internal tasks such as automation, maintenance, and exploring new technologies, as well as cross-platform projects involving multiple departments and teams.

We are based in Denmark (Tilst), Sweden (Stockholm), and Finland (Vantaa), and close collaboration between the three offices is key to our success.

We will support you in your development and give you the opportunity to work on various operations tasks and projects.

About you

  • Min. 3 years of experience as Linux Administrator or similar position
  • Skilled in most aspects of Linux
  • Experience with supporting Linux and Ansible
  • Knowledge of Linux architecture and security and how to build solutions
  • Knowledge of general network configuration and Active Directory (AD)
  • Fluent in English

It is an advantage if you are familiar with ITIL V3 and have completed any certifications or courses related to the job position, but not a requirement.

This position is based in Denmark (Tilst) and will include a few travel days to Sweden / Finland.

About BAUHAUS Nordic IT:

Nordic IT is responsible for all IT in the Nordic countries, which currently are Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Iceland, Finland, and Estonia.

Nordic IT consists of 2 major teams: IT Business Applications and IT Operation where the infrastructure team is part of IT Operations. We are around 80 colleagues and are located mainly in Aarhus and Stockholm.

Nordic IT works independently of our Corporate IT colleagues in Germany, but we do of course share knowledge & support each other.
